Human trafficking, including sex and labor trafficking, is a critical issue affecting communities across North Texas, including the Metrocrest area (Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, and Coppell). Located near major trafficking corridors like I-35, Metrocrest is vulnerable to exploitation, making local resources vital for prevention, intervention, and survivor support. The following organizations provide crisis response, advocacy, counseling, and education to empower survivors and protect at-risk individuals.

Traffick 911
Traffick911 is a North Texas-based nonprofit organization focused on freeing youth from sex trafficking through trust-based relationships. Founded in 2009, it operates the Voice & Choice Program, providing 24/7 crisis response, advocacy, and long-term support for child sex trafficking victims aged 11-21 across Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Ellis, and Rockwall counties. Their services include immediate crisis intervention, trauma-informed case management, goal planning, and community integration to help survivors heal and avoid re-victimization. They collaborate with law enforcement, multi-disciplinary teams, and community partners to address relational brokenness, a root cause of trafficking vulnerability.

A Dallas-based nonprofit focused on restoring and empowering formerly trafficked girls, sexually exploited women, and their children. They provide advocacy, education, job training, and access to resources like counseling and legal support.
NFNL offers a range of services tailored to the unique needs of survivors and their families, focusing on holistic recovery and empowerment. Services include:

Mosaic Family Services
Mosaic is a safe haven for survivors of human rights abuses, including human trafficking and domestic violence. They aid survivors of human trafficking and family violence to refugees from around the globe.
Services:
- Emergency Shelter: Safe housing for survivors of trafficking and domestic violence, with immediate safety planning.
- Counseling: Trauma-informed therapy, including individual and group sessions, to address emotional and psychological needs.

Unbound Now | North Texas
Unbound Now, part of the Tarrant County Human Trafficking Task Force, serves several regions in Texas and Louisiana, including North Texas (Tarrant, Denton, Johnson, Parker, Hood, Somervell, Wise, and Erath counties). Unbound Now works to end human trafficking and ignite hope by identifying victims, supporting survivors, and providing prevention education.
Services:
- Survivor Advocacy: 24/7 crisis response and ongoing case management for survivors, offering trauma-informed support, safety planning, court accompaniment, and connections to resources like housing and medical care.
- The Underground Drop-In Center: A 24/7 safe haven in Fort Worth for youth (up to age 22) affected by trafficking, providing meals, showers, counseling, and referrals. Features a soft interview room and an emotional support dog, Theo.
- The Reagan Home: A residential program for girls aged 12-17 who have been sexually exploited, focusing on recovery and empowerment.
- Prevention Education: Trains youth, schools, and professionals (e.g., medical, law enforcement) to recognize and prevent trafficking.
North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking
NTCAHT facilitates collaboration among anti-trafficking agencies, law enforcement, and community partners to combat sex and labor trafficking and support survivors across North Texas, including Metrocrest.
Services:
- Coordination: Connects survivors to local resources like Traffick911, Unbound Now North Texas, and Mosaic Family Services for crisis response, housing, and counseling.
- Community Education: Offers training and awareness programs for schools, businesses, and residents to recognize and prevent trafficking.
- Advocacy: Collaborates with law enforcement and policymakers to strengthen anti-trafficking efforts.
- Note: NTCAHT is not a direct provider of survivor services but offers valuable resources for education and prevention of trafficking such as current laws, research, databases, books and films. Businesses and other teams can also book a training directly on their resources page.
iWatchTexas | Community Reporting System*
The iWatchTexas website is a Texas Department of Public Safety initiative to empower communities to anonymously report criminal activities, including suspected human trafficking, enhancing safety in the Metrocrest area and across Texas.
Services:
- Provides a free mobile app, website, and hotline for anonymous reporting of trafficking, suspicious activities, or crimes.
- Connects reports to Texas law enforcement, including Dallas County authorities, who collaborate with anti-trafficking organizations like Traffick911 and Unbound Now North Texas.
- Supports victim identification by enabling community members, schools, and businesses to report signs of trafficking.
