Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is a U.S. federal program that provides food assistance to low-income individuals and families. Administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), it helps eligible participants buy nutritious food through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card, which works like a debit card at authorized retailers.
