Crisis Ministries is a 100% volunteer-run, nonprofit serving primarily Irving residents for over 30 years. It aims to meet immediate physical and spiritual needs while promoting self-respect and responsibility, helping individuals and families move from crisis to stability. The organization is a founding member of The Alliance, a collaborative nonprofit focused on trauma-informed care and coordinated services. Services provided include Food Pantry (plus hygiene and baby products), Emergency Financial Assistance, Transitional Solutions (homelessness to stable housing), Budget Assistance, Job Placement Support and Career Planning, and Hope and Healing in the form of post trauma emotional support.

The Friendship House
The Friendship House is a faith-based, nonprofit relief ministry operated by First Baptist Church at the Fields. Its mission is to “extend the Kingdom of God and walk alongside individuals experiencing life’s challenges,” providing relief and transformational opportunities to help individuals and families realize their worth. The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs offers The Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP). CEAP is a utility assistance program and designed to assist low income households in meeting their immediate energy needs and to encourage consumers to control energy costs for years to come through energy education. It provides resources for assistance with rent payment help, homeless services, utility payment help, weatherization and home repair.
