River of Life Homes
River of Life Homes is a nonprofit dedicated to providing shelter and support for women and children escaping domestic violence, empowering them to rebuild their lives.
Services:
- Emergency Shelter: 0–30 days for women and children (0–12 years) in life-threatening situations; requires police report filed within 2 weeks.
- Transitional Housing: Up to 12 months for women with income (earned or unearned) but insufficient for independent living; rent based on ability to pay, includes utilities.
- Support Services: Food, clothing, individual/group counseling, financial planning, parenting classes, job skills training, resume writing, job interview prep, spiritual upliftment (optional).Eligibility: Homeless women or those in domestic violence situations, with or without children (0–12 years); excludes elderly or disabled.

The Family Place
Empowers survivors of domestic violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills for independence, while advocating for social change to end family violence.
Services:
- Emergency Shelter: Safe housing for women, men, and children, with medical/dental care, pet shelter, and K–2 schooling.
- Transitional Housing: Up to 18 months with comprehensive support.
