Applying for College

This website gives assistance for applying to college, career school, and graduate school.  Applying for college means more than just filling out forms. For a successful college application, you first need to understand each school’s admission requirements, gather information, meet deadlines, and pay any necessary fees. Plus, each school has different application requirements and deadlines, so it’s important to get organized.

While the application process may seem a little overwhelming, you can use this website to help walk you through the process.

Brookhaven College

This website is another great resource if you are seeking help to apply for college. A community college is a great place to start. Brookhaven College — one of the seven independently accredited colleges of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) — has an open-door admissions policy. Anyone who can benefit from post-secondary education has an opportunity to enroll. If you’re admitted to one college, you’re automatically admitted to all of them.

You can apply to Brookhaven College even if you don’t have a high school diploma or a G.E.D. No matter what your current circumstances are, we can work with you to develop a plan to help you achieve your educational and career goals. See our catalog for more information about our admission requirements.

Once you have applied for admission, you should plan to attend an orientation session, take assessment testing, meet with an advisor and register for classes. Visit ourAdmissions and Registration Process page for more information on the steps you’ll need to take toward obtaining a college degree or technical training.
